Class Descriptions
All private lessons are tailored to the individual student, as all students learn differently and approaches are modified to best fit each learner. While all staff are professional classical and jazz musicians, we encourage the exploration of all genres of music so that students may take lead in choosing the repertoire they most enjoy playing. We teach traditionally so there is a complete immersion of note reading and music theory from the very first lesson. This is all integrated into each lesson while learning pieces so that the foundational skills and knowledge that are so necessary in more advanced playing is laid in an effortless way. We offer weekly lessons virtually, in our studio at 139 Wolfs Lane, and in student homes in Lower Westchester.

Group Rhodes Piano Classes

Rhodes Piano Classes are the perfect introduction to piano using an innovative approach to musical learning. We make it fun using our unique visual tools and games which students can connect to the piano, playing real music from the first class. Students utilize their own keyboards during class and we invite everyone to also play on one of our studio acoustic pianos to allow for exposure to the different types of instruments. All Rhodes Piano Classes are held in weekly 45-minute sessions for a 10-class trimester. We like to cap our classes at 6-8 students so that we can maximize the attention paid to each individual students and ensure everyone is receiving a quality group experience. Students will learn:
Group Guitar Classes
We are proud to be collaborating with Chris Mongiello and The Music Academy of Westchester for group guitar lessons. Students will be trained under his “Rock Academy” teaching method, during which they will learn chords, popular chord progressions and songs, and practice proper guitar techniques. Students will take part in creating their own lesson plans and goals, all while exploring new and effective learning tools. Our group guitar classes will be offered in weekly 60-minute sessions for a 12-class trimester, and we welcome students ages 7 and up to join the fun.

Open Music Classes
Join us on Fridays 9:30-10:00 AM for our drop-in open music classes with Zev! Here we explore singing, dancing, and instruments from around the world with children ages 0-4. $15/child drop-in fee.
Group Voice Classes
What do Taylor Swift, The Sound of Music, and Disney all have in common? They all feature songs in our NEW group voice classes! Explore music throughout the decade with us as we integrate vocal warmups, movement, pitch correctness, and of course, the joy of singing songs we all love.
